RRS Rapid design and evaluating AI & voice experiences through advanced wizard of Oz prototyping

Charged with designing user experiences for complex systems using AI, voice, IoT, and other emerging technologies, we often find ourselves wanting to evaluate specific interactions or whole experiences long before the technology is developed.

Advancements in Wizard of Oz prototyping allow us to present highly credible experiences to stakeholders and users to explain a design vision or even to evaluate the desirability and usability of a system.

In this talk, Kelly will share some insights into this approach to Wizard of Oz prototyping, including some of the most stalling challenges and thrilling opportunities. User experience designers make magic happen by being inventive and ambitious. Attendees will leave the session ready to make magic happen, too.

In this session, they will learn about a Wizard of Oz approach to prototyping and testing AI experiences. He will talk through the advantages and challenges of this approach, why it works, and why it matters.
